#R1##TD# Soto shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Taylor napping and manages to drive through into side control!#SUB# Soto tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. #SUB# Soto tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Soto has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Taylor trying to remain calm as Soto controls from the top position. Soto throwing strikes but missing, from side control. #SUB# Soto wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Taylor, who protects the arm well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Soto tries to move into full mount but can't pass Taylor's legs. #T1##SUB# Soto is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Taylor looks calm but he's in trouble here. Soto gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Taylor is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Soto lets go of the hold and Taylor can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Alonzo Soto! Alonzo Soto bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it. |
