#R1# A head kick misses from Khan. Ross takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Ross shoots in for a takedown but Khan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Khan flicks out a counter leg kick but Ross steps away. Khan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.#CUT2#It looks like Rick Ross has been cut. Ross darts in looking for a takedown but Khan gets double underhooks and turns Ross into the cage. Ross jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Khan walks away with a smile on his face. Ross gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Ross. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ross misses with a series of wild punches.
Khan throws a right and a left that Ross avoids nicely. Khan scores with a three punch combo!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! This has been an exciting period of action! Khan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ross moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Nimitz landing some decent shots from guard. Nimitz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ross controls Nimitz momentarily but Nimitz frees himself. Ross tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nimitz cracks Ross with a big right hand but Ross just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Ross shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nunez as he jumps to the side. Ross fails in his attempt to clinch. Ross misses with a shot to the body #CL2# and Nunez counters by clinching up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#BC2# Nunez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nunez pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ross back to the cage. Nunez follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. The fight stays on the outside here - Ross looks like he's thinking about clinching though.#T1# Danga de danga de dang - Nunez scores with a four punch combination! Nice straight punches there by Nunez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nunez. Nunez cracks Ross with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Ross throws a leg kick #TD2# and Nunez counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ross! Ross explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nunez circles away from the clinch attempt.

Ross looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Nunez tries to bum rush Ross with a series of wild strikes but Ross uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A nice combination there by Nunez.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Nice body punch from Nunez. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# Ranathunga wants to get back to full guard. Ranathunga keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ross prevents Ranathunga from improving his position. Ranathunga wants to control but Ross is keeping busy and won't allow it. Ross throwing shots but Ranathunga is blocking nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SU# Ross stands up out of the half guard. #CL# Ross fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ranathunga, pushing him back against the cage.#TD2# Ranathunga pulls Ross into guard.

Ross rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McJerkins finish him?!

Ross changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Meuneix tries to avoid it but Ross manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Meuneix to the ground. Meuneix escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ross on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Rick Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ross has his takedown stuffed and Meuneix counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ross throws a sloppy head kick and Meuneix cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ross misses the body punch and Ross takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #ROC#Ross is rocked! Meuneix flashes Ross a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Ross's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Ross crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Meuneix punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ross has a takedown stuffed. Tonioli unleashes a big counter combination but Ross bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Ross fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Tonioli is out of range. Tonioli doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. The fight stays on the outside here - Ross looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ross fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ross shoots for a double leg takedown but Tonioli sprawls well.
