He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Borschtinski! Lu trying to control the position but Borschtinski is working away. Borschtinski is looking to reverse the position. Borschtinski is being controlled here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Borschtinski taking punishment in the form of punches.
#T1# Lu postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Borschtinski wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Lu tries to get to his feet but Borschtinski is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Lu in his guard. That was a close second round but I would say that Vlady Borschtinski will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!#R3# The fighters circling - Lu throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Esposito tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lu just stands there and leans against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Esposito tries to circle away but Lu has him pinned against the cage. Lu is struggling to control the position. Esposito fails to pull guard.

#R1# Lu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lu misses the shot to the body. Carney buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Carney. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lu. Carney turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Carney throws a half hearted mid kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Carney.

Lu shoots in looking for a takedown but Carney manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lu takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

#R1##TD# Oishi gets caught flat footed, as Lu shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Lu wants to control from the top but Oishi keeps moving. Lu throws a big elbow that misses. Lu is pushing down on Oishi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Oishi is fighting to maintain full guard but Lu has managed to sneak the leg through. Lu uses his free foot to push down on Oishi's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Oishi. Lu raining down hammerfists from mount.#CUT#It looks like Iwao Oishi has been cut. Oishi holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Lu tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lu lands a nice shot to the head. #CUT#The cut above Iwao Oishi's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Oishi tries to hold on but Lu pushes him away. #T1# Lu with a couple of short strikes.#CUT#Iwao Oishi's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Iwao Oishi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
