Chai is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Onfoy with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Onfoy is looking to advance position but Chai won't allow it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chai wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. #T1# Chai utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Onfoy throws a big elbow that misses. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Chai looking to hit a scissor sweep but Onfoy is one step ahead there. Onfoy throws a big elbow that misses. #T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Onfoy half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Onfoy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Chai to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jahsem Onfoy. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T4# Chai darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Nice uppercut lands for Chai. That snapped Onfoy's head back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chai thuds a left hand into Onfoy's body. Chai jabs at Onfoy's body. Chai lands a jab to the nose. #R1# Sinclair throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chai's waist but Chai gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sinclair off to one side. Chai scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sinclair in his tracks. #CUT#It looks like Itchy Sinclair has been cut. Itchy Sinclair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sinclair will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sinclair tries to clinch up and Chai counters with a nice uppercut. Sinclair shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sinclair with a poor takedown and Chai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tomahawk Chai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Chai lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tua has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tua and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Tua fires out a quick counter leg kick but Chai just manages to avoid it. Chai misses with a looping right. Tua scores with a kick to the body.

Tua closes the distance and catches Chai with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Chai is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Chai is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Chai is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Tua takes it!

We've been told by Chai's head coaches at Master Chai's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Volkanovski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chai.

Braus showed some decent athleticism there. Braus perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Chai tries to get to full guard but Braus has control of the leg. Braus looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chai with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chai is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Braus jumps into side control! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.#T1# Braus landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Chai can't do much from the bottom here. #SUB2# Braus looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Chai gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Chai tries to control Braus's body but Braus pushes him off. Chai squirms to his side and now Braus has his back! Chai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap.
