#R1# Chai defending well as Thorn loads up on a big left hand. Chai lands a nice hook to Thorn's body. Thorn takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Thorn throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Chai throws a big counter combination but Thorn scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Chai has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Master Chai's Dojo in the buildup to the fight. Chai uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Thorn digs a good body shot into Chai's ribs. Chai moves out of range of the body kick. A bone on bone clash there as Chai blocks the leg kick.

#R1# Kringle walks into a left hand. #CUT2#It looks like Kristoph Kringle has been cut. Chai on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. The crowd cheers as Kringle lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chai doesn't seem phased though. A nice inside leg kick there by Kringle. That's going to slow Chai down. Chai comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A decent looking body kick lands there for Chai. Chai misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kringle.

and Kringle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kringle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
#T1# That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Chai crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kringle - the referee stops the clock and Chai gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kringle. Chai manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Chai connects with a body shot that sends Kringle's belly button to the back. Kringle gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Chai. Kringle throws a head kick but Chai moves out of range.

Handerson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Chai after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Handerson. He must have been on the weights. Chai steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Maia. A little feinted left hand from Chai on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Maia throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Chai to counter with a crisp jab. #CUT#It looks like Lucas Maia has been cut. Maia gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Chai gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Maia is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
