Aldo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Aldo is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Formiga changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Aldo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jose Aldo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enrique Formiga.
A head kick misses from Aldo.
Despite the aggression on Formiga's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Formiga is defended easily by Aldo.

and Aldo counters with a left right combination that sends Formiga crashing to the mat - Aldo wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Formiga out for a TKO! Devastating finish!

The fight stays on the outside here - Formiga looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Purpose looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Formiga is fending him off so far but Purpose persists. Nope, Formiga circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for No Infection Purpose. That's going to take a lot out of him.
