#R1##TD# Wood gets a double leg takedown into Brown's guard. Wood is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Wood trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Brown looking to control.
Wood controlling from the top position. Wood working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. #SUB2# Brown throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Brown trying to keep a closed guard but Wood is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wood working some strikes from top position. Brown being controlled here, momentarily. #T1# Brown looking to control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Wood scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Wood sitting in guard here, content to control. Wood connects with a couple of short punches.#T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.#SUB2# Wood got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brown has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wood has managed to get both his arms back between Brown's legs - danger averted. Wood slips nicely into half guard. Wood is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Wood looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Wood has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#SUB# Wood seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Brown is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Jake Wood decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |
