#R1# Smith doesn't succeed with the takedown and Azarola cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#TD2# Smith throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Azarola tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smith is in Azarola's guard. Azarola manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Smith fails to land the takedown. Good standup being displayed there by Azarola as he connects with a hook.#ROC#Smith is rocked! Smith switches off momentarily and Azarola cracks him with a monster right hand! Smith topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Azarola dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Azarola!

#R1# Smith lands with a right hand. Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Love pinned against the cage. Love gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A quick step to the side and Love tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Love throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Love does a little dance to reset his feet. Love lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Smith dives in for a single leg takedown but Love sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Smith slips under a jab. Love throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily. Love misses with an uppercut. Love takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Smith scores with a jab to the body. Love pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Love keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mason Love has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Smith. Love has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Love there as he acknowledges the shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Smith ducked under it nicely. Brown connects with a good right hand that stumbles Smith. Smith circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Brown drops Smith with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Smith! Brown dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

#TD2# and Bashir decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smith's guard. Bashir with a nice head shot there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bashir works a leg free and moves into half guard. Smith has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bashir is working away from the top position though. Bashir throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bashir in particular looking to stall. Bashir wants to take a breather but Smith is having none of it. #T1# Bashir is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Smith throws a nice looking combination but Chai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A jab lands there for Chai. A punch combination from Chai misses. We've been told by Chai's head coaches at Master Chai's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A low kick from Chai misses #TD2# and Smith counters with a single leg into guard. Chai didn't expect that. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Chai holds on and takes a little breather. Smith postures up in Chai's guard and throws a big left but Chai blocks it. Smith throws a big right hand that misses. Smith trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Smith is stalling in the full guard. Smith is looking to work some ground and pound but Chai has wrist control. Chai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smith on the ground. #R1# Smith walks into a stiff left hand from Davis. Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davis but Davis pushes him off and we're back to square one. Davis throws out a counter right but Smith avoids it with no problem. John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat. Davis closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Smith! Davis dives in looking to finish! Smith is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Inhanamoto sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Smith takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Smith fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Inhanamoto lands with a cross. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Inhanamoto cracks Smith with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Smith gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Inhanamoto counters with a nice uppercut. #T1# Inhanamoto lands a slapping body shot.
