Block missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Block is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Block takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ro is staying active underneath Block, who seems content to just control the action from this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Block not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ro on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ro is controlling Block's trapped leg to prevent Block from advancing to side control. Block is stalling here. Ro is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Block seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ro has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. #T1##SUB2# Ro is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Chai avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Block. Block throwing shots but missing, from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Block postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Chai felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Block is looking to take a break and control but Chai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Block sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Chai is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Wilson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Block avoids it really well and circles away. Wilson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Block but Block pushes him off and we're back to square one. Block tries to counter by clinching up but Wilson breaks away and moves out of range. Gen Block has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Wilson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson throws a shot from downtown. Block moves away and avoids it. Block is looking to counter the offense by Wilson and move into the clinch. Wilson fails with the takedown. Block wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.#T1# Wilson throws a head kick but Block moves out of range.

Andarys steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Block. Block avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Andarys does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Block stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Andarys. The fighters circling - Andarys throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Andarys finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Block scores with a hook to the body. Andarys takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Block takes a swing at Andarys's ribcage but misses. Andarys slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Block keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Andarys. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Andarys scores with a crisp jab that stopped Block in his tracks. Block checks a leg kick. Andarys throws a head kick that misses. Block drops down looking for a counter takedown but Andarys sprawls and moves away. Block blocks a low kick nicely. Block misses with a takedown and Andarys counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Andarys swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Andarys uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Block.#T3# Block looks to throw the jab but Andarys is out of range. Block blocks a head kick by Andarys.

A nice inside leg kick there by Andarys. That's going to slow Block down. Andarys bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. An inside leg kick lands from Andarys. Andarys misses with a leg kick #TD# and Block counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Block landing with the ground and pound. Block stands up over Andarys, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. #T4##SUB# Block drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Andarys manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Block has Andarys in his guard.#REVB# This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Block looking to control.
Gen Block overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#SUB# Block is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Andarys stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Block swivels though and keeps the full guard. #SUB# Block working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Andarys doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Andarys manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
