#R1# O Darren looks to clinch and Wheeler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A jab lands there for Wheeler. O Darren closes the distance but Wheeler moves to the side and Wheeler makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. We've been told by Wheeler's head coaches at Monkey Business that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Wheeler thuds his shin into the meat of O Darren's side. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. O Darren has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wheeler. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Darren shoots in for a takedown but Wheeler shows good takedown defense. O Darren shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wheeler pinned against the cage. Wheeler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wheeler jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.#T1##TD2# O Darren drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The strikes coming from O Darren are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Wheeler avoids any damage from the ground and pound of O Darren. Thibodeaux has momentary wrist control but O Darren slips an elbow through the middle. O Darren is stalling in the full guard. O Darren pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Thibodeaux is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thibodeaux is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Thibodeaux looking for a sweep. Not yet Thibodeaux, not yet. O Darren is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. #SUB# Thibodeaux has his feet on O Darren's thighs here. He's pushed O Darren off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! O Darren is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Thibodeaux to keep the fight standing. Matth Thibodeaux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Moxley O Darren. O Darren goes for a takedown in the clinch but Thibodeaux prevents it.

#R1##CL2# O Darren rushes Matias and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.#TD# Matias jumps guard and drags O Darren to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. O Darren showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Let's hope that O Darren has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. O Darren scoring with some ground and pound.
