#R1##CL2# Pote gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pote scores with a hook to the body. Pote throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cox blocks it with crossed arms. Cox definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Cox has a couple of punches blocked by Pote.
Still in the clinch, Cox scores with a nice short uppercut. Cox swings wildly with an uppercut but Pote uses good head movement to avoid it. Pote lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Ra Min tries for a takedown but Cox circles away easily and Cox makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Cox fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Ra Min square on the jaw! Damn, Ra Min is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

#R1# Cox steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Luciano. Cox uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Luciano. Cox looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Cox throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Luciano to counter with a crisp jab. #CUT#It looks like Brutus Cox has been cut. Cox moves away from the strike by Luciano. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cox! But no joy. Luciano works Cox's body with a nice hook. Luciano throws a jab when Cox was well out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cox drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.#KD# Luciano lands a big uppercut and Cox crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cox looks OK. Luciano waves Cox back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#KD# Luciano cracks Cox with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Luciano has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Cox to stand back up!#ROC#Cox is rocked! Antonio Luciano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#T1# Luciano pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Luciano engages and cracks Cox with a massive lead left hook - Cox tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Luciano is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

It looked like Cox wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Khan wants to clinch. Khan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cox swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cox is looking to counter punch.#TD2# Khan looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cox preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Khan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Khan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Khan no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Cox has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.#T2# Cox is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cox won't allow Khan to get back to his feet. Cox stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Khan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cox is controlling him. #T3##ES2# Khan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cox off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Khan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Khan tries to clinch but Cox is having none of it. It looked like Cox was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Khan. Khan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Khan bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Cox comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Khan falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Khan was out before he hit the floor!

Peter Preston really struggled with his weight cut for this fight. After coming in at 195.7, he had two hours to cut the additional weight. He was unable to do so and as a result, his fight with Brutus Cox was cancelled. |
