Pyae throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Alert counters by clinching up.
Pyae is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Alert to keep the fight standing.
Pyae fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pyae tries to pull guard but Alert holds him up against the cage and eventually Pyae drops back down to his feet.
Alert definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Broder Alert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sein Win Pyae.#TD#
Alert drags the fight down to the ground.
Alert pulls Pyae in close to his closed guard and prevents Pyae from doing any damage or advancing position.
Pyae tries to free his leg and advance position but Alert is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alert is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR#

Whack! Pyae lands a heavy head kick that drops Okino. The ref tackles Pyae to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Okino was done.

Sein Win Pyae was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. |

Shannon misses with an uppercut. Pyae saw that one coming.
Shannon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pyae throws a shot from downtown. Shannon moves away and avoids it.
Pyae blocks a jab.
Shannon pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Shannon throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pyae.
Shannon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shannon throws the kick towards the body but Pyae avoids it.
Pyae scores with the left hand. Shannon knows he should have avoided that one. #CUT2#It looks like Teague Shannon has been cut.
Pyae drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Shannon right on the button. Shannon goes down! Pyae follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Pyae gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sein Win Pyae!
After the fight, Sein Win Pyae was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |

McCoy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pyae moves away.
A left lands for McCoy.
Pyae swings and misses with a shot to the body#KD2#
and McCoy counters with a crisp right hand that drops Pyae! McCoy lets Pyae back up to his feet, looking for a finish!#ROC2#Pyae is rocked!#CUT2#It looks like Sein Win Pyae has been cut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McCoy has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
McCoy is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Pyae flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Pyae is out cold! McCoy holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
