That could be painful for both fighters.#KD2# Dobrosavljevic lands a big uppercut and Night crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Night looks OK. Dobrosavljevic waves Night back to his feet!#ROC2#Night is rocked! Dobrosavljevic scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dobrosavljevic attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Night uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dobrosavljevic.
Night shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dobrosavljevic defends it nicely. Night throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dobrosavljevic's head.#T1##CL# Night rushes Dobrosavljevic and presses him up against the cage. Night jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dobrosavljevic walks away with a smile on his face. Night gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #TD# Night bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Night trying to control the position but Dobrosavljevic is working away. Night connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dobrosavljevic some visible discomfort.
Dobrosavljevic tries to improve position but can't. Night will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB# Night tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. #T2# Night is looking to take a break and control but Dobrosavljevic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dobrosavljevic defending against the ground and pound. Night fails to land a wild elbow strike.
#T3##SUB# Night swings around for an armbar but Dobrosavljevic sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Night's guard. Dobrosavljevic trying to control the position from guard on top but Night is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dobrosavljevic tries to free his leg and advance position but Night is retaining full guard. Dobrosavljevic stopping the sweep attempt from Night. Night working a defensive guard but Dobrosavljevic manages to pass into side control anyway.

#T4##ES# Night manages to stand up with Dobrosavljevic still on his back. Eventually Dobrosavljevic drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. Dobrosavljevic has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Night is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dobrosavljevic sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A countering left hand to the body from Dobrosavljevic misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samir M Night. That's going to take a lot out of him. Night takes one on the chin but seems OK.
#CUT2#Samir M Night's cut is getting worse. Night misses with a right hand and Dobrosavljevic counters with a stiff right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Night walks into a left hand. #CUT2#Samir M Night's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Dobrosavljevic pounces like a tiger and cracks Night with a vicious hook! Night is down but not out! Dobrosavljevic follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

After the fight, Aleksandar Dobrosavljevic was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |

#R1# Van Lenden closes the distance looking to clinch and Night counters with a one-two to the body. #CL# The fight moves into the clinch position. Night has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.#TD# Van Lenden pulls guard. Night preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Van Lenden escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Night gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van Lenden is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Night dives into side control.
Van Lenden on the wrong end of some ground and pound. #T1# Night trying to control the action but Van Lenden is working from the bottom. Van Lenden struggling a bit here. Van Lenden is trying to improve his position. Night scores with punches from side control. Van Lenden takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.#SU2# Night decides to stand back up. Night steps back and let's Van Lenden get back to his feet.#T2# Night misses with a two punch combination.

Night tries to break the clinch but Van Lenden is controlling the position. #TD# Van Lenden turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Night explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sloppy strikes from Night. Those never looked like landing. #TD2# Night closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Van Lenden's guard. Van Lenden controlling Night's posture. Van Lenden has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#T3##SUB# Van Lenden looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Van Lenden bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Night's guard. #REVR# Night is pulling down on Van Lenden's head. It's preventing any offense from Van Lenden, at least for the moment. Van Lenden won't allow Night to sweep him here. #T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Night working a defensive guard but Van Lenden passes into half guard.

Night slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Night looking to hit a scissor sweep but Van Lenden is one step ahead there. #SUB2# Night is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Van Lenden is defended easily by Night. Night tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Van Lenden manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Van Lenden feinted with a counter takedown. Van Lenden stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Van Lenden wants it to stay on the feet. Van Lenden thinks about countering with a body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van Lenden keeps the fight on the outside. Van Lenden has been working on his balance at Cozad The Island, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Night.#TD2# Night feints and as Van Lenden raises his hands in defense, Night changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Samir M Night showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!#R3# Van Lenden fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Night avoids it really well and circles away. Night fails with a takedown attempt. Dirk Van Lenden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A punch combination from Van Lenden misses. Night is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Night throws a nice looking combination but Van Lenden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Night looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Night has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Night throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Van Lenden.#CL2# Night rushes Van Lenden and presses him up against the cage. Van Lenden keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Night's efforts to push away.#TD# Van Lenden gets a trip takedown into half guard. Night is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Night is trying to reverse the position but instead Van Lenden has taken his back - oops!#T4# Night wants to get back to his feet. Night looking very determined here, making life difficult for Van Lenden.
#SUB# Van Lenden is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Night knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Night for a finish. Night rolls, trying to escape but Van Lenden keeps control of the position.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dirk Van Lenden. I think Night has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
