#R1##CL# Swanson clinches up against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. #BC# Swanson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tuco tries to clinch but Swanson moves out of range. #CL# Swanson closes the distance and pushes Tuco back into the cage.#TD# Swanson pulls Tuco into guard.
#SU2# Tuco decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Tuco tries to clinch up but Swanson circles away and keeps his distance.#CL# Tuco gets tackled into the cage by Swanson. Swanson maintains the clinch. Swanson jumps guard but Tuco stands there with Swanson around his waist. Swanson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tuco stalls. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tuco is trying to break free. A right hook to the body lands for Tuco.

Tuco wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Swanson has him pressed against the cage.#BC2# Tuco breaks the clinch.
Tuco shoots in but Swanson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tuco misses with a series of wild punches.
Swanson feinted with a counter takedown. Tuco's jab looks to have found its range, popping Swanson under the eye.#CUT2#It looks like John R Swanson has been cut.#TD# Swanson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tuco on his heels. He'll look to pass Tuco's guard now, I'm sure. Tuco is trying to control the position but Swanson postures up. Swanson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #T2# Tuco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Swanson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Swanson wants to stand but Tuco has a closed guard, so he can't escape. #SUB2# Tuco is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Swanson defends well. Swanson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.#T3# Swanson tries to free his leg and advance position but Tuco is retaining full guard. Tuco controls Swanson momentarily but Swanson frees himself. Swanson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Swanson is working Tuco over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Tuco looking for a sweep. Not yet Tuco, not yet. #SU# Swanson stands and steps away. Tuco gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Tuco misses with a few strikes there.
#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A solid body kick from Swanson. Tuco looks winded! Tuco misses with a leg kick and Swanson counters with a nice body shot. #TD# Swanson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tuco manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Swanson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SU# Tuco is working an open guard so Swanson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
John R Swanson dominated that round. The cut man is working on John R Swanson's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.#R2##TD# Tuco gets caught flat footed, as Swanson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.#SUB2# Tuco has his foot on Swanson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Swanson works his way back into a safe position though. Tuco can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Swanson controls the pace. Tuco working a defensive guard here.
Swanson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Swanson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tuco can do to turn this around? Tuco tries to close the distance and clinch but Swanson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #TD# Swanson gets a double leg takedown into Tuco's guard. Tuco is breathing heavily. Swanson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Tuco is trying to control the position but Swanson postures up. Swanson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. John R Swanson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Swanson passes Tuco's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Swanson content to control rather than advance. #T2##SUB# Swanson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Tuco defend it? Swanson steps over the head and cranks it - Tuco is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Swanson!
