#R1# Coach dips to his left and cracks Valdealez with an uppercut!#TD2# Valdealez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valdealez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Valdealez wants to control from the top but Coach keeps moving. Valdealez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Valdealez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Valdealez throwing strikes from guard but Coach blocks nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valdealez wants to pass the guard but Coach is keeping the position. Valdealez postures up in Coach's guard and throws a big left but Coach blocks it. #T1# Valdealez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Coach is looking to stand up but Valdealez isn't so interested in that idea. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Vinny Coach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Valdealez tries for a takedown but Coach circles away easily and Coach counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Coach throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Valdealez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.#TD2# Valdealez drives through with a takedown into guard. Coach keeping full guard, as Valdealez tries to pass. Valdealez wants to control from the top but Coach keeps moving. Valdealez postures up in Coach's guard and throws a big left but Coach blocks it. #T2# Coach preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Valdealez with a nice head shot there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Valdealez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Valdealez won't allow Coach to get back to his feet. #ES# Coach manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Valdealez with a lazy takedown attempt and Coach makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Valdealez on the wrong end of a nice jab. Coach throws a right hand that Valdealez ducks under and follows up with a left that Valdealez also avoids with ease.#TD2# Coach gets caught flat footed, as Valdealez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.#T3# Valdealez stands and throws Coach's legs to the side, diving into side control. Valdealez advances to mount. Coach avoids a series of strikes thrown by Valdealez.

Valdealez looking to finish Coach with some ground and pound. This is bad for Coach!#T4# Valdealez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Coach is looking to escape. Valdealez raining down shots from the mount! Coach is trying to stand. Valdealez wants to control the action but instead Coach gets a body lock and reverses into Valdealez's guard! Nice work! Valdealez wants to stand and escape but Coach is having none of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Valdealez can do anything to dispel that myth. Valdealez wants to sweep here but Coach controlling him for the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Richard Valdealez will probably get the nod. That's time! Coach's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.#R2# Valdealez is looking to clinch but Coach is avoiding it.
Valdealez ducks right into an uppercut from Coach. Coach punishes Valdealez's body with a nice straight punch. Nice body punch from Coach. Coach scores with a crisp jab that stopped Valdealez in his tracks. Valdealez takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Valdealez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Coach pulls him back up using the underhooks. Coach gets underhooks to prevent Valdealez's takedown attempt.
Vinny Coach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Valdealez. Coach tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Coach lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Valdealez or not. Coach prevents a takedown attempt there.

Coach lands an uppercut. Coach wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Coach wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Valdealez has him pressed against the cage. Coach is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Valdealez can do to turn this around? Coach struggles to land a body shot inside as Valdealez controls his hands.

Valdealez is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Coach gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Valdealez.

Coach lands with a short head shot on the inside. Coach is pressed up against the cage. Valdealez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Coach down to the mat. Coach avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Valdealez walks into a left hand. #T3# Nice cross by Coach. Coach with a nice cross. Coach misses the shot to the body. Coach catches Valdealez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Vinny Coach is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Valdealez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Coach is fending him off so far but Valdealez persists. Nope, Coach circles away and we're back to standing. Valdealez with a poor takedown and Coach makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Coach tries to bum rush Valdealez with a series of wild strikes but Valdealez uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Coach scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.#ROC#Valdealez is rocked!#CUT#It looks like Richard Valdealez has been cut. Coach ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Valdealez's jaw. Valdealez's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Coach does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

#R1##TD# Valdealez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Caceres quickly recovers to half guard. Caceres misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Caceres has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Valdealez is working away from the top position though. Valdealez lands strikes from half guard. Valdealez is taking a breather. Caceres says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Valdealez winds up and cracks Caceres with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Caceres trying to control here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Valdealez in particular looking to stall. Caceres gets back to full guard.
#T1##SUB2# Valdealez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Caceres has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Valdealez has managed to get both his arms back between Caceres's legs - danger averted. Caceres is trying to control the position but Valdealez postures up. #SUB2# Caceres is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Valdealez is aware though and is defending well. Valdealez content to stall in guard here. #SUB2# Caceres looking for a guillotine here but Valdealez defends easily.

#R1##CL# Wangting gets tackled into the cage by Valdealez. Valdealez maintains the clinch. Wangting looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Wangting tries to pull guard but Valdealez forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Wangting wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Valdealez has him pressed against the cage.#TD# Valdealez turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Valdealez taking a breather here. Valdealez scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Wangting to see if he's OK. Wangting is being controlled here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valdealez working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Valdealez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wangting on the ground. Valdealez working the ground and pound from side control. Valdealez is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Wangting's shoulder. That is not cool. Valdealez lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Valdealez is working Wangting over with some ground and pound from side control. Valdealez is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Valdealez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Valdealez lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Wangting down.

Valdealez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wangting for as long as he can get away with. Valdealez scoring with punches and elbows. Valdealez working the head and body with strikes. Valdealez takes a little break here. Wangting wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Valdealez lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Wangting down.
