Smith staying out of range there.
Tight throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tight dips to his left and cracks Smith with an uppercut!
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Tight, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Tight against the cage but Tight circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Tight tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tight manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tight as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tight slaps away a takedown attempt from Smith, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tight changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tight fakes the body blow, causing Smith to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Smith goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Bednar goes for a double leg but Smith avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smith continues to drive forward.
Smith is looking to take this one to the mat.

A head kick from Bednar lands but Smith takes it in his stride. #TD2#
Smith throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bednar tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smith is in Bednar's guard.

Bednar pulls Smith in to control the position.
Smith working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Smith throws a big elbow that misses. #T1#

Smith is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bednar frees his head nicely. Oh but Smith has switched to an armbar! Bednar is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
