#R1# McGuiness lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. McGuiness tries to bum rush Hall with a series of wild strikes but Hall uses good footwork to avoid the assault.#CL# Hall has McGuiness up against the cage in a clinch.

McGuiness defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hall. McGuiness is looking for the big counter here. Hall tries for a takedown but McGuiness circles away easily and McGuiness counters with a one-two to the body. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hall. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Hall. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGuiness looks to land a combination but Hall avoids it well. #TD# McGuiness gets caught napping as Hall dives in and scores a takedown. McGuiness manages to retain guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGuiness wants to get back to his feet but Hall is in a dominant position and won't allow it. #T1# McGuiness can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hall controls the pace. Hall seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McGuiness for as long as he can get away with. Hall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hall controls from within his opponent's guard. #T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Hall dives in for a single leg takedown but McGuiness sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. McGuiness throws a counter combo. McGuiness prevents a body shot from Hall. Hall tries to pull guard but McGuiness won't allow it.
Hall is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McGuiness is defending well. Hall tries to pull guard but McGuiness holds him up against the cage and eventually Hall drops back down to his feet.
#T3# Hall misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from McGuiness.
McGuiness tries to break the clinch but Hall is controlling the position. McGuiness has had enough of the clinch but Hall keeps him there for the moment. Hall tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hall lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Hall is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.#T4# Hall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McGuiness is keeping the position for now. McGuiness wants to stand but Hall is controlling the position. Hall controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Further stalling from Hall. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ryan Hall will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!#R2# A slapping leg kick lands for McGuiness.
A left and a right from McGuiness both land. Nice combination. McGuiness displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Hall pulls out of a head kick attempt.

It looked like Hall was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGuiness throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
McGuiness feints a jab promting Hall to slip. McGuiness then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hall slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hall avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
