#R1##TD# Wolfe gets a takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Wolfe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bongw is trying to stand back up but Wolfe is controlling him
#SUB# Wolfe is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
#SUB# Wolfe is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Wolfe stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wolfe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#T1# Wolfe's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#SUB# Wolfe seems to be working for a kimura but Bongw defends the submission attempt. Wolfe is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bongw wants to improve his position but Wolfe is controlling well.
#SUB# Wolfe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bongw doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wolfe. #T2# Bongw pushes Wolfe off looking to stand but Wolfe dives back in and keeps control.
Still in half guard, Wolfe seems content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Wolfe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bongw sees it coming and defends easily.#SUB# Wolfe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bongw is just riding it out for now. Wolfe eventually gives up the hold. #SUB# Wolfe is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bongw has managed to free his arm - good work. #T3# The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Wolfe is figuring out what he wants to do next.#SUB# Wolfe is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wolfe is taking a breather. Bongw says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Wolfe trying to mount his opponent but Bongw defends it. #SUB# Bongw is defending against the submission attempts here by Wolfe.
#T4# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Wolfe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bongw with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wolfe stalling. Wolfe throwing shots but Bongw is blocking nicely. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Scott Wolfe dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.#R2##TD# Wolfe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wolfe is looking to work some ground and pound but Bongw has wrist control. Bongw is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bongw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wolfe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Wolfe drops back looking for a leg! Bongw is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bongw manages to kick Wolfe off! Wolfe jumps back into Bongw's guard. Wolfe pushes down on Bongw's leg and manages to get into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wolfe missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Wolfe looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Bongw is trying to stand.
#T1# Wolfe is pressing down on Bongw's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bongw is holding on for now. Wolfe passes the guard and advances to mount! Wolfe is trying to take his opponent's back.
Wolfe is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bongw can do to turn this around? Wolfe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wolfe forces the positional change into back control. We've been informed that Bongw has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.#T2# Wolfe is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Bongw. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. I would not like to be Bongw right now.
#SUB# Wolfe is working for a rear naked choke. Bongw is not defending it well and Wolfe has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Bongw refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Bongw's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

#R1# Bongw misses with a head kick.
Bongw throws a sloppy head kick and Rider moves out of range easily. Rider throwing a counter right hand but Bongw manages to avoid it. Bongw throws a one two combo.
Bongw connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Rider to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Bongw!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bing Bongw! A relieved looking Bing Bongw thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
