Gracie misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lawson is trying to get back to half guard. Gracie working the ground and pound but Lawson is defending the strikes. Lawson parries the strikes from Gracie easily there. Gracie is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lawson to escape.

#R1# Gracie takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Axelsen stuffs the takedown. Axelsen lands a jab. Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Axelsen sprawls well. Axelsen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet. Horrible takedown attempt by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Axelsen, which made it look bad. Loke Axelsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ethan Gracie. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gracie. Axelsen was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Axelsen throws a lazy right hand but Gracie sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Greene sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Gracie with a lazy takedown attempt and Knight counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Gracie walks into a left hand. The fighters circling - Knight throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Gracie with a poor takedown enabling Knight to counter with a crisp jab. Gracie takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Gracie drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hopson sprawls and moves away.#T1# Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hopson. Nice straight punches there by Hopson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hopson. Hopson misses with a straight right. Hopson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.#T2# Hopson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gracie eats them both and turns towards Hopson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Hopson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. Gracie is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Maldita doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Gracie crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Gracie's bad books for that mishap!
