Michaels slips nicely into half guard.
Callens wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Michaels looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Michaels frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Michaels tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
You get the feeling that Callens really doesn't like being in this position too much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Head takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.#CUT#It looks like Dale Head has been cut.
Callens dives in and grabs Head's left leg, looking for a takedown. Head pushes down on Callens's head and hops out.
Head is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Callens with a body shot.
Head just misses with a punch to the body.
Callens shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Head pinned against the cage. Head gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Head jabs Callens to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Callens.
Head swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Callens scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Head doesn't seem bothered though.
Callens lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.#CL2#

Callens feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ortizs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!#CL#
Ortiz rushes Callens and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Callens tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ortiz just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ortiz stalling in the clinch.
Ortiz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Callens walks away with a smile on his face. Ortiz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Ortiz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Callens moves forwards but Ortiz connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ortiz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Callens defends well and Ortiz ends up having to push Callens into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
