#R1# Skoda dives in and grabs Norris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Norris pushes down on Skoda's head and hops out.#CL# Norris gets a clinch. #TD2# Skoda jumps guard and drags Norris to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Skoda not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
#SUB2# Skoda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Norris gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Norris stopping the sweep attempt from Skoda. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Norris tries to free his leg and advance position but Skoda is retaining full guard. Norris is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Skoda wants to improve his position but instead Norris has moved into half guard.
#T1# Skoda works his way to full guard. Good work. Norris showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Norris has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Skoda seems keen to control Norris's posture.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Norris keeps the fight on the outside. Skoda lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Norris misses with a wild combination.
#TD# Norris closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Skoda did well to prevent Norris getting side control. Skoda tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Norris manages to move to mount!
#T3# Skoda is wriggling around trying to escape.
Norris lands a big shot there that rocks Skoda but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Skoda is looking to improve his position but Norris isn't that keen on the idea. Norris looking to control and managing it successfully. Norris scoring with strikes but Skoda is staying in there. #T4# Norris controlling the pace for now. This is a sustained period of stalling by Norris. Skoda regains half guard. Norris is taking a breather. Skoda says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Skoda is looking to improve his position.
Skoda looks winded! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Norris looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bam Norris dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!#R2# Skoda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Norris paws at him with a jab and circles away. Skoda ducks under a wild hook from Norris. Norris slaps away a takedown attempt from Skoda, before circling back to the center of the mat. Skoda looks to clinch #TD# so Norris counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Norris seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Skoda is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Norris is aware though and is defending well. Norris pushing down on Skoda's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. #T1# Norris trying to pass the guard but Skoda defending well. Norris seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Norris drops an elbow to the side of Skoda's head. Skoda is trying to get back to full guard. Norris controlling the action here. #SUB# Norris seems to be working for a kimura but Skoda defends the submission attempt.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Skoda manages to get to full guard.

Skoda lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# Norris keeping moving, preventing Skoda from controlling successfully. #T3# Norris trying to control the position here. Skoda trying to control but Norris is working from the bottom. Skoda is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.#T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Skoda not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Norris is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bam Norris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. An inside leg kick from Skoda misses. Norris stuffs the takedown. Skoda is breathing heavily. Skoda fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Norris seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Bam Norris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Skoda. Skoda fails to land the takedown. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Norris looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.#CL# Norris closes the distance and pushes Skoda back into the cage. Norris is trying to break free. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bam Norris dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!#R3##CL# Norris forces Skoda back against the cage and clinches.#TD# Norris has hold of one of Skoda's legs. Skoda is fighting the takedown attempt but Norris gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Skoda wants to get back to his feet but Norris is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Norris is stalling in the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Norris scores with a decent looking elbow strike.#T1# Norris looking to pass the guard. Norris stopping the sweep attempt from Skoda. Norris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Skoda can do to turn this around? Skoda managing to control the position. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#CL# Norris clinches with his opponent.

Skoda wants to take the fight to the mat but Norris manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Come on Norris - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#BC2# Skoda breaks the clinch.
Norris pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Skoda misses with a takedown attempt - Norris sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A counter left hand to the body from Norris misses its target. Skoda takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Skoda keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A combination from Skoda does no damage. Norris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Norris tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Skoda was well out of range. Poor timing from Norris. Skoda tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Norris defends well and Skoda ends up having to push Norris into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Bam Norris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Skoda. Norris fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Skoda is out of range. Skoda is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.#TD# Norris feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Skoda is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Norris dives into side control.
#T3##REVB# Norris cracks Skoda with a big elbow. Skoda is trying to escape the position but Norris is controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Norris advances nicely into full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Norris controlling his opponent. #SUB# Norris is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Skoda to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Skoda shrugs it off. Norris is in the full mount, landing strikes. #T4# Norris with shots to the head and body - Skoda looks very uncomfortable down there. #SUB# Norris jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Skoda manages to avoid the submission attempt. Check out the look on Norris's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Skoda pushes Norris away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Norris gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Norris taking a breather here. David Skoda has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bam Norris is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Skoda tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Norris wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Bam Norris showed his dominance in that final round. Well Norris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Bam Norris! Bam Norris decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |
