Vakhvakhishvili darts in looking for a takedown but Mondragon gets double underhooks and turns Vakhvakhishvili into the cage. Vakhvakhishvili throws a sloppy head kick and Aldarisio counters with a two punch combo. Aldarisio punishes Vakhvakhishvili's body with a nice straight punch. Aldarisio tries to close the distance and clinch but Vakhvakhishvili swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Aldarisio scores with a head kick.

#R1# Nice takedown defense from Zuniga. No joy for Sabatory on that attempt. Sabatory has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sabatory there as he acknowledges the shot. Zuniga lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Sabatory shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zuniga sprawls well. Zuniga wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sabatory gets slowly back to his feet. It looked like Zuniga wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Zuniga scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Zuniga connects with a nice looking jab.
Zuniga lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sabatory misses with a takedown attempt - Zuniga sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ricky Zuniga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lou Sabatory. Zuniga connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sabatory momentarily.
Sabatory shoots in looking for a takedown but Zuniga manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sabatory's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nice shot by Zuniga. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zuniga clobbers Sabatory with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Sabatory takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sabatory throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zuniga's waist but Zuniga gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sabatory off to one side. Sabatory shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.#T1# Sabatory dives in and grabs Zuniga's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zuniga pushes down on Sabatory's head and hops out. Sabatory looks winded! Zuniga lands a head shot. Sabatory shoots in but no luck this time. Nice uppercut lands for Zuniga. That snapped Sabatory's head back.

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sabatory's half guard. Sabatory has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Los Angeles. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Zuniga looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zuniga is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Sabatory is hurt! He's hurt bad - Zuniga fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Sabatory from any more punishment! Congratulations to Zuniga! Great finish!
