Dawson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dawson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fassett manages to avoid it.
A head kick from Dawson lands but Fassett takes it in his stride.
Fassett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Fassett decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dawson's guard.
Fassett could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dawson is wriggling around but Fassett manages to pass to half guard.
Fassett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dawson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dawson is trying to stand.
Fassett takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dawson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fassett scores with a couple of nice shots.

Fassett working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Fassett lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Fassett punishes Dawson with strikes from the back mount.
