A shot to the liver by Ballo. Beautiful body shot.
Ballo just misses with a punch to the body.

Baltaretu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Baltaretu is stalling in the full guard.
Ballo tries to strike from the bottom.
Baltaretu landing with the ground and pound.

Ballo throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Baltaretu lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Ballo has momentary wrist control but Baltaretu slips an elbow through the middle.
Baltaretu lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Baltaretu gets to his feet and stands over Ballo, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Ballo felt that one! Baltaretu unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Ballo from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrei Baltaretu!
Andrei Baltaretu decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
Mohammed Ballo spoke after the fight, saying 'It was not a good performance, but I will be back stronger soon!'. |
