Unknown doesn't seem bothered though. #TD# Unknown gets caught napping as Syomin dives in and scores a takedown. Unknown manages to retain guard. Syomin throws a big elbow that misses. Syomin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Syomin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Unknown looking to control.
Syomin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Unknown utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Syomin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Syomin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Unknown is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB##SUB2# Unknown is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Syomin is just riding it out for now. That was a close round but I would say that Wlad Syomin will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! You can see the frustration on Syomin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Jones manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Syomin throws a big right hand that misses. Syomin with a flurry of punches that miss. Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Syomin on the ground. Syomin's corner is telling him to maintain position. Syomin throws a big right hand that misses.
