#R1# Lim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Takaida circles away quickly and effectively. Josh Lim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lim is trying hard to land a takedown here. Takaida sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. #CL# Lim has closed the distance and engaged Takaida in a clinch.
Lim tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Takaida smiles and moves away.
Lim shoots in for a takedown but Takaida shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Lim. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL2# Takaida moves into range and clinches up with Lim. Nice body punch from Takaida - that landed with a thud.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Takaida. Lim tries to pull guard but Takaida won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takaida lands with a light punch inside. Lim tries to pull guard but Takaida forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Takaida avoids a wild elbow strike from Lim. Lim tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Takaida just stands there and leans against the cage. Lim has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Takaida is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.#T1# Takaida avoiding damage as Lim throws knees to the body.
Lim really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lim looking for a takedown. Takaida lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lim or not. Lim is breathing heavily. Takaida lands with a left to the head. Takaida lands on the inside with an uppercut. A short uppercut from Takaida. Takaida lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Lim takes a shot to the head. Takaida scores with a shoulder strike. Takaida avoiding damage.
Takaida lands a shoulder strike. Lim prevents Takaida from breaking the clinch.#T2# Lim tries to break free but Takaida pushes him back against the cage. Lim misses with a hook from the clinch. A right handed body shot lands from Takaida.
This has been an exciting period of action! Takaida's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.#BC2# Takaida's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Takaida walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Lim drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Takaida swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Lim's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
