Score +2 for reaching mount: Renard (8) vs (8) Trdatyan Trdatyan prevents Renard from taking his back. Renard controlling his opponent. Renard is looking to work his way around to Trdatyan's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. #T14# Renard takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.#SUB# Renard working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. #SUB# Renard is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Trdatyan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Trdatyan! #R1##TD2# Kamenev shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kamenev showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Renard taking some punishment here, with Kamenev in his half guard. Kamenev wants to pass the guard but Renard is defending well. Kamenev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kamenev moves into full mount! Renard won't be happy about that! Kamenev dominating with strikes here. Kamenev is in the full mount, landing strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kamenev cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kamenev prevents Renard from getting the reversal. Kamenev cracks Renard with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Tozan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tozan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Tozan slaps away a takedown attempt from Renard, before circling back to the center of the mat. Tozan feinted with a counter takedown.#TD2# Renard dives in and scores a takedown into Tozan's guard.#SUB2# Renard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? James rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Renard moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A nice side step and Renard releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from James. Renard misses with a body shot. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eddie James. Well James has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Renard is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Renard drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Renard is breathing heavily. Renard doesn't succeed with the takedown and Joshua counters with a one-two to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Joshua cracks Renard's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Renard slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Joshua can do further damage! This one is done, son!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Freddy Renard. Well Jaska has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
