and Nog counters with a one-two to the body. Blaird tries to clinch up. Nog fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Blaird looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nog fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blaird. Blaird misses with a takedown and Nog counters with a right hand to the body. That kick from Nog tenderised Blaird's leg. Blaird is trying to keep his angry face on. Nog lands a jab to Blaird's midsection. Blaird looks winded!#KD# Nog lands a big uppercut and Blaird crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Blaird looks OK. Nog waves Blaird back to his feet! #R1# Blaird goes for a double leg but Blake avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Blake continues to drive forward. Blake jumps guard but Blaird stands there with Blake around his waist. Blake gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. #TD2# Blake pulls guard effortlessly. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blaird accidentally thumps the mat. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Acosta leaves Blaird with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Blaird tries to free his leg and advance position but Zakrzewski is retaining full guard. Blaird controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Zakrzewski avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blaird is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.#T1# Zakrzewski keeping full guard, as Blaird tries to pass. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
