Tama prevents Ironfeld from improving his position. Ironfeld trying to hold on to Tama's head to control him but Tama postures up.
#SUB# Tama seems to be working for a kimura but Ironfeld defends the submission attempt. Tama is taking a breather. Ironfeld says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ironfeld has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tama is working away from the top position though. Ironfeld escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ironfeld appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikora Tama. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tama tries to shoot in for a takedown. Nikora Tama overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tama has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Tama breaks from Ironfeld's wrist control and lands an elbow. #CUT#It looks like Theros Ironfeld has been cut. Tama lands a nice shot to the head. Ironfeld is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Tama lands a big elbow. #T2# Tama postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Ironfeld in real trouble here! The ref calls for Ironfeld to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Tama shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tama takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #CUT#It looks like Nikora Tama has been cut. Tama shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chai defends it nicely. A big left from Chai misses. Tama will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Olyksandr Chai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nikora Tama. Tama misses with a takedown and Chai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Jab, jab by Chai - just one landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chai punishes Tama's body with a nice straight punch. Tama misses with a hook. Chai ducked under it nicely. Chai swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Tama lands strikes from half guard. Tama uses his free foot to push down on Orcarm's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Orcarm. Tama prevents Orcarm from getting the reversal. Tama fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Orcarm working to try and regain half guard.
#SUB# Tama is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Orcarm to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Orcarm shrugs it off. Orcarm is desperately trying to improve his position but Tama has a good base and remains in mount. Tama looking to control and managing it successfully. Tama dominating with strikes here. Murfum Orcarm has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nikora Tama is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tama landing punches.

#R1# Tama shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duterte pinned against the cage. Duterte gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tama misses with a body shot.
Duterte tries a quick counter leg kick but Tama is wise to it. A looping hook to the body misses from Tama. Duterte does a little dance to reset his feet. A slow jab from Duterte misses its intended target. We've been hearing reports that Tama has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Tama looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tama will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikora Tama. That's going to take a lot out of him. A looping hook to the body misses from Tama. Duterte does a little dance to reset his feet. Tama fails with an attempt to clinch.

Duterte connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Tama covering up! Duterte comes in with a big uppercut and Tama goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Tama has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tama stays in close to Pierre 's body and controls the position. Tama passes into half guard. Tama works his way into side control. #SUB2# Tama is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Pierre looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nasty Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nikora Tama. Nice sprawl there from Man as Tama shoots in. Tama shoots in for a takedown. Tama sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Tama tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Javali defends well and Tama ends up having to push Javali into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Javali uses the oldest trick in the book to send Tama tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Javali is absolutely delighted - when Tama wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
