#R1# Grier leaves Hill with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Grier goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Hill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grier is fending him off so far but Hill persists. Nope, Grier circles away and we're back to standing.#CL# Grier closes the distance and pushes Hill back into the cage. Hill is trying to stall.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Grier creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Hill jumps guard but Grier turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Iain Grier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Hill. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hill takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A frustrated look appears on Hill's face as he tries to break the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Grier. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Grier creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Hill fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Grier works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
#T1# Grier lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Grier digs a right hand into Hill's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hill's gas tank. Hill is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Grier to keep the fight standing. Hill will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Grier up against the cage. Hill is trying to push Grier away but Grier has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A frustrated look appears on Hill's face as he tries to break the clinch. Grier throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hills head. Grier pushes Hill back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Grier lands a nice uppercut. Grier softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.#BC# Grier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hill tries for a takedown but Grier circles away easily#CL# and Grier counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Grier. Grier looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Grier softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.#T2# Grier gets through Hill's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Grier lands a body shot in the clinch.
Grier lands a shoulder strike. A shot in the inside from Grier. A short left from Grier. Grier lands a body punch in the clinch. Grier lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hill backwards. Grier digs a right hand underneath Hill's ribcage. Hill let out a lung full of air as it connected. Grier lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Grier lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hill backwards. Still in the clinch, Grier scores with a nice short uppercut. Grier lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Hill looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Grier digs a right hand into Hill's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hill's gas tank. Hill looks winded! Grier throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hills head. Grier scores with an uppercut up the middle.#T3# Grier lands a body punch. Grier lands with a right to the head. #ROC#Hill is rocked! Grier pushes Hill back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Hill is still on wobbly legs! Can Grier finish him? Grier lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Hill to his knees! Grier keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
