#R1# Apple The Third is trying hard to land a takedown here. Car sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Apple The Third tries to close the distance and clinch up but Car swats him away and circles back towards the center. Apple The Third shoots for a takedown but Car saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Car throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. #TD# Car fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Apple The Third sprawls well initially but Car persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Apple The Third pushes Car off but Car dives into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Apple The Third tries to bench press Car off him but Car keeps the position. Car working the head and body with strikes. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Car connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Apple The Third some visible discomfort.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Apple The Third is pushing Car's head away, looking to escape. Car manages to hold on to the position though. Apple The Third being controlled for a moment. #T1# The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Apple The Third is looking to reverse the position. Car has control of an arm but Apple The Third manages to advance to Car's back! Apple The Third is hanging on to Car's back as he tries to escape.
#SUB2# Apple The Third working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Car looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. #T2# Car has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Apple The Third. Car is holding onto Apple The Third's left hand, preventing any choke attempts. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Apple The Third's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Car trying to control the hands but Apple The Third won't let him. Apple The Third missing with strikes. #T3# Car needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Car tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Car manages to control the position for a moment. Apple The Third tries to stand up but Car had a hold of his arm and he's managed to perform a nice reversal, into half guard. Still in half guard, Car seems content to control.#T4##SUB# Car seems to be working for a kimura but Apple The Third defends the submission attempt. Apple The Third is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Car scores with a couple of nice shots. Apple The Third trying to control but Car postures up.
Car performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SUB# Car is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Apple The Third is just riding it out for now. Car eventually gives up the hold. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
My Car dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.#R2# Car keeps the fight on the outside.#TD# Car bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Car is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Apple The Third can do to turn this around? Car working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Apple The Third tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Car wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Apple The Third's face as Car controls the position. #SU# Car decides to take the fight back to the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Apple The Third shoots in for a takedown but Car shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Car throws a big counter combination but Apple The Third scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Apple The Third tries to clinch up but Car circles away and keeps his distance.#TD# Car shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Car was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Apple The Third really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Car. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Car controls the position. #T1# Apple The Third takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Car is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Apple The Third's shoulder. That is not cool. Apple The Third is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Car is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Apple The Third has given up his back here.
#SUB# Car is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Apple The Third won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Car off his unconscious opponent!
