Melakis changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Viggo Michaelsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD# Melakis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Michaelsen scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Melakis manages to mount him!
#SU# Melakis gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Michaelsen misses with a shot to the body #TD# and Melakis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Michaelsen's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Melakis showing good wrestling skills to control the position. #SUB# Melakis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Melakis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #T1# Michaelsen wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Melakis manages to pass to side control. Melakis passes the guard and advances to mount! Melakis controlling the pace for now. Melakis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#SUB# Melakis throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Michaelsen has his hands clasped together but Melakis breaks the hold and Michaelsen is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Melakis!
