#R1# Ragnarson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Somer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Somer connects with a body shot that sends Ragnarson's belly button to the back. Somer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.#TD2# Ragnarson gets a double leg takedown into Somer's guard. Ragnarson looks winded!#SUB# Somer has his foot on Ragnarson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ragnarson works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#SUB# Ragnarson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
#SUB# Ragnarson is sitting in close to Somer's body. Somer has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Ragnarson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Ragnarson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Somer.

#R1##TD2# Ragnarson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Petrov is trying to stand back up but Ragnarson is controlling him

Ground and pound from Ragnarson. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petrov is looking to escape. Petrov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ragnarson scores with a couple of nice shots. Ragnarson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ragnarson moves into full mount! Petrov won't be happy about that! Ragnarson controlling the pace for now. Ragnarson with shots to the head and body - Petrov looks very uncomfortable down there. #T1##SUB2# Ragnarson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Petrov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Petrov shrugs it off. Ragnarson cracks Petrov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Petrov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Petrov is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Ragnarson controlling from the full mount. Petrov is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Ragnarson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Petrov tries to buck Ragnarson off but he can't manage it. Ragnarson controlling from mount. Petrov 's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Ragnarson content just to control the position here. Petrov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.#T3# Ragnarson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ragnarson with a couple of short strikes. You get the feeling that Petrov really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Petrov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ragnarson on the ground. Ragnarson in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Petrov is trying to stand. Ragnarson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Petrov squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
#SUB2# Ragnarson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Petrov is surviving well by controlling Ragnarson's body position as best he can. Petrov is trying to stand up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gunnar Ragnarson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.#R2# Petrov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ragnarson on the side of the head. Master Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD2# Ragnarson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Petrov tries to escape but Ragnarson is in control. Petrov is letting Ragnarson control him for a moment. #SUB2# Ragnarson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ragnarson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ragnarson lands some shots froms side control. Petrov wants to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SU2# Ragnarson stands up. Ragnarson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice cross by Petrov . Petrov lands with an overhand left.#T1# Petrov connects with the punch. Ragnarson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Petrov is fending him off so far but Ragnarson persists. Nope, Petrov circles away and we're back to standing. Gunnar Ragnarson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ragnarson is breathing heavily. Petrov throws a wild combination but nothing lands. #CL# Petrov darts in and clinches Ragnarson up against the cage. Petrov is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Petrov swings wildly with an uppercut but Ragnarson uses good head movement to avoid it. Petrov misses with an elbow over the top. With the fighters up against the cage, Petrov throws an elbow but misses. Ragnarson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Petrov just stands there and leans against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Petrov fails to land. A shot in the inside from Petrov . Ragnarson tries to pull guard but Petrov holds him up against the cage and eventually Ragnarson drops back down to his feet.
Master Petrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gunnar Ragnarson. Petrov tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. #T2# With the fighters up against the cage, Petrov throws an elbow but misses. Petrov lands with a right to the head. Ragnarson tries to pull guard but Petrov forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Ragnarson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Petrov scores with a shot to the side of Ragnarson's head. Petrov makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A short left from Petrov . Petrov lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Petrov dips a shoulder and cracks Ragnarson with a mighty uppercut! Ragnarson falls back against the cage and Petrov unloads with a barrage of strikes! Ragnarson is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Petrov screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
