Petukhov shoots in but Shay avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Shay! But no joy.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Petukhov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shay is fending him off so far but Petukhov persists. Nope, Shay circles away and we're back to standing.
A jab from Shay does it's job there.
Shay stalks Petukhov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Petukhov's face. Petukhov staggers backwards, shaken.#TD#

Tate throws a right and a left that Petukhov avoids nicely.
Tate looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tate misses with an uppercut. Petukhov saw that one coming.
Petukhov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sloppy strikes from Tate. Those never looked like landing.

Melvin Tate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Avgust Petukhov.
