Sarkisov can't fight it off and eventually Hall manages to take the fight to the floor. Sarkisov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hall loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hall lands a couple of digs. Sarkisov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hall throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sarkisov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. We've heard reports from his gym mates at GAMMA Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Tengri tries to throw a body punch but Sarkisov avoids it by throwing Tengri back against the cage. Sarkisov pushes Tengri back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Tengri lands a body shot. Sarkisov misses with a body punch.

Head tries for a takedown but Sarkisov circles away easily and Sarkisov counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Sarkisov connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.#CUT#It looks like Hyu Head has been cut. Head gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sarkisov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've been told by Sarkisov's head coaches at GAMMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Sergei Sarkisov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hyu Head. Head drops his hands momentarily and Sarkisov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
