#R1# Griffiths throws a looping overhand right but Vavau ducks down to avoid it. Griffiths waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vavau. It looked like Vavau wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Vavau slips a straight right by Griffiths. A little feinted left hand from Vavau on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Griffiths misses with a hook. Vavau ducked under it nicely. Griffiths throws a nice outside leg kick. Griffiths scores with a nice body kick.
Griffiths cracks Vavau with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Griffiths with the inside leg kick. Kian Griffiths seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. An inside leg kick lands from Griffiths. Griffiths throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A little feinted left hand from Vavau on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Vavau ducks under a wild hook from Griffiths. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#T1# Griffiths chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A lazy left from Griffiths finds it's target. The fighters circle momentarily. Griffiths darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Griffiths scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Griffiths misses with a left hand and Vavau cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Vavau drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.#ROC2#Vavau is rocked! Griffiths fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vavau has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Oh Vavau is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Griffiths feints a jab promting Vavau to slip. Griffiths then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Vavau slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A cross from Griffiths lands. Vavau looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Vavau gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Griffiths gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Vavau is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

#R1# Herzog closes the distance looking to clinch and Vavau counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. #TD2# Herzog manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vavau on his heels. He'll look to pass Vavau's guard now, I'm sure. Vavau is looking to stand back up but Herzog counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Vavau. #REVR# We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Herzog lands with a punch from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Herzog lands a nice short elbow. Herzog is controlling the pace.

A jab from Herzog does it's job there. Herzog tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vavau swats him away and circles back towards the center. Vavau sneaks out the side door and pushes Herzog away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vavau blocks a head kick by Herzog.

Ioelu Vavau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marian Herzog. Vavau leaves Herzog with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. An attempted straight right counter from Vavau misses the target.#T3# Herzog tries to clinch enabling Vavau to counter with a crisp jab. Herzog tries to clinch up but Vavau circles away and keeps his distance. It looked like Vavau wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.#TD2# Herzog closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vavau quickly recovers to half guard. Herzog slows the pace down in half guard. Vavau is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vavau tries to kick Herzog off in order to stand up. Herzog Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. #T4##SU2# Herzog decides to stand up, so the ref orders Vavau to his feet. #TD2# Herzog shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Herzog was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!#SUB2# Herzog is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Vavau looks calm but he's in trouble here. Herzog gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Vavau is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Herzog lets go of the hold and Vavau can pop his arm back in it's socket.

#R1# Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Vavau connects with a nice looking jab.
Nice straight punches there by Zotikshvili. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Zotikshvili. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vavau lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Zotikshvili scores with a jab. Vavau acknowledges it with a nod of the head. #T1# The fighters circling - Vavau throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nice shot by Zotikshvili. Zotikshvili scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Zotikshvili rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Vavau counters with a nice uppercut. #T2# Zotikshvili takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ioelu Vavau. Well Vavau has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
