Garrone appears to be looking for a counter takedown.#KD# Garrone drops Gracie with a beautiful combination! Gracie stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Garrone is looking for the KO!#ROC#Gracie is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Garrone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat. Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Garrone finish him? Garrone ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Gracie seems to have recovered his senses. Gracie throws a wild hook but Garrone just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Gracie gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Garrone raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Wolf throws a chopping leg kick but Gracie manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Wolf scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Wolf takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses. A nice side step and Gracie releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Wolf throws a jab but it's blocked by Gracie. Wolf changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Wolf lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wolf jabs at Gracie's body. Wolf connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A lazy left from Wolf finds it's target.#T1# Gracie misses with a straight right. Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wolf.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gracie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. We've been hearing reports that Wolf has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Jero Wolf is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wolf's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Marcos tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gracie's elbow. Gracie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Marcos pulls him back up using the underhooks. Marcos lands a right hand. Gracie is working for takedown but Marcos is calmly controlling the position for now. Marcos misses with a body punch.
Marcos scores with an uppercut up the middle. Gracie takes a shot to the head. Marcos lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gracie backwards. Gracie is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rio Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marcos tries to work over Gracie's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Gracie jumps guard but Marcos stands there with Gracie around his waist. Gracie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

#R1##TD2# Vortmont gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Vortmont looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Gracie sitting in guard here, content to control. Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vortmont's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie controlling the action here. Gracie's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. It looks like Gracie might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Vortmont really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#T1# Gracie works his way into full mount! Vortmont tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gracie is in Vortmont's guard. Gracie's corner is telling him to maintain position. Gracie passes Vortmont's left leg - he's now in half guard. Gracie is taking a breather. Vortmont says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Vortmont trying to hold on to Gracie's head to control him but Gracie postures up.

And that's the end of the fight! Rio Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gracie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. A nice side step and Nada releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.#TD# Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard. Gracie looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Gracie seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nada for as long as he can get away with. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie wants to pass the guard but Nada is keeping the position.#T1# Nada can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Nada is holding on for dear life with his legs. #R1# Babikov shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Babikov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.#CL# Gracie forces Babikov back against the cage and clinches.#TD# Gracie jumps guard and drags Babikov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Babikov forces his way into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gracie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Babikov. Gracie is looking to control Babikov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gracie avoid being mounted? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Babikov tries to pass to full mount but Gracie defends it. Gracie is in trouble now - Babikov has advanced to mount! Babikov cracks Gracie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Babikov is nestled in close to Gracie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Babikov is looking to advance position but Gracie has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!#REVR# Babikov working to try and regain half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Babikov is not content to let Gracie control the position. Babikov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Gracie prevents Babikov from improving his position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Babikov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gracie sprawls well. Gracie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Babikov gets slowly back to his feet. Babikov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gracie's waist but Gracie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Babikov off to one side. Gracie seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Babikov looks for a takedown but Gracie sprawls well. Rio Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grigoriy Babikov.#TD2# Babikov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gracie manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Grigoriy Babikov has got the better of the ground game so far. Babikov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Babikov is proving a slippery customer.
