#R1##TD# Oddie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. #SUB2# Chegwin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Oddie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oddie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Oddie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Oddie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #SUB2# Chegwin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A much better position for Chegwin. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chegwin can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chegwin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chegwin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Oddie keeping full guard, as Chegwin tries to pass. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Chegwin won't allow Oddie to sweep him here. Oddie keeping full guard, as Chegwin tries to pass. Oddie can't keep his opponent in guard - Chegwin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Oddie wants to get back to full guard. Chegwin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Chegwin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Oddie wants to improve his position but Chegwin is controlling well.

Oddie tries to get to full guard but Chegwin has control of the leg. Oddie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bill Oddie. Well Oddie has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
