#R1# King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Foster sprawls well. Foster wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet. Foster slaps away a takedown attempt from King, before circling back to the center of the mat. Foster went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. King tries to score a power double leg takedown but Foster sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten King somewhat. Lily Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt King.#TD2# King scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. King misses with the ground and pound. King in side control lands a decent elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King throwing shots but missing, from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Foster is trying to get back to half guard. King scores with punches from side control. Foster wants to control but King postures up. King has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. King has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Foster's face.

King is landing with some decent strikes but Foster is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Foster takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. King with the counter takedown but Foster avoids it easily.#TD2# King shoots in and gets a takedown into Foster's guard. King sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Foster is looking to stand up but King isn't so interested in that idea. Foster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Foster tries to get out of the position. King looking to pass the guard. Foster working a defensive guard but King passes into half guard.

King trying to control the pace. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Foster misses with a series of wild punches.

and Foster makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. A decent looking cross lands there for King. Foster pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Foster changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. King tries to avoid it but Foster manages to keep hold of a leg and drag King to the ground. King escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from King. Foster does a little dance to reset his feet. King dodges the punch combination from Foster.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lily Foster will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. King lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
