Miller closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Valiev's guard.
Miller seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valiev is looking to sweep but instead, Miller has passed into half guard.
Miller takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Miller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Valiev for as long as he can get away with.
Miller moves into full mount! Valiev won't be happy about that!

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Valiev looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out!
