DeBlass is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. DeBlass's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DeBlass looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# DeBlass is stalling in the full guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. DeBlass shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Simpson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. DeBlass gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Simpson counters with a lovely straight right hand! OJ Simpson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom DeBlass. DeBlass misses with a takedown attempt and Simpson counters with a stiff right hand. #TD2# DeBlass dives in and scores a takedown into Simpson's guard. DeBlass slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Simpson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for DeBlass on the ground. DeBlass prevents Simpson from getting back to his feet. #SUB2# DeBlass thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. #T1# DeBlass tries to free his leg and advance position but Simpson is retaining full guard. DeBlass is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tuilagi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A quick uppercut on the inside from Tuilagi. Tuilagi lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of DeBlass backwards. Tuilagi lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A head punch on the inside from Tuilagi fails to land. DeBlass blocks an uppercut.
