Kim throws out a counter right but Peterson avoids it with no problem. A swing and a miss from Kim. Peterson shoots in for a double leg but Kim sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A nice side step and Kim releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Peterson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kim counters with a stiff right hand. Peterson throws a low kick but Kim moves out of range easily. Kim circles away from the clinch attempt.

Decent striking displayed by Kim there. Dennison throws a series of punches but Kim moves out of range. Dennison throws a combination that misses enabling Kim to counter with a crisp jab. Kim lands with a shot to the body. Kim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Lee closes the distance and clinches up with Kim, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes Kim against the cage but Kim circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kim is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Lee. Kim has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Lee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. #R1# A good leg kick by Kim. Sparks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kim counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kim getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Sparks slips under a jab. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sparks has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Sparks defending well as Kim loads up on a big left hand. Dan Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sparks misses with a takedown attempt and Kim cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kim has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kim connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.#ROC#Sparks is rocked! Sparks drops his hands momentarily and Kim needs no second invitation. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kim.#CUT#It looks like Tomas Lincoln has been cut. Kim swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lincoln. Lincoln tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kim scores with a counter punch that sends Lincoln to the canvas! Kim smells blood - he's punishing Lincoln with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Lincoln has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
