We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Barton has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Toshimichi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Daisuke Toshimichi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Toshimichi connects with a single shot there. Barton doesn't succeed with the takedown and Toshimichi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Barton has his takedown stuffed and Toshimichi counters with a left and a right that stings Barton. #TD2# Barton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Barton postures up in Toshimichi's guard and throws a big left but Toshimichi blocks it. Barton throws an elbow that misses. Toshimichi uses the momentum to reverse the position. #R1# A big right from Toshimichi misses. McCocker slips a jab from Toshimichi. McCocker takes one on the chin but seems OK.
McCocker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Toshimichi. Daisuke Toshimichi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Toshimichi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McCocker takes a shot to the body in his stride.
#TD2# McCocker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Toshimichi bucks up and tries to throw McCocker off but instead McCocker has got his back! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#SUB2# McCocker working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Toshimichi is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and McCocker has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Toshimichi taps out!

Rimmer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Toshimichi circles away. Toshimichi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rimmer's hands. Rimmer on the wrong end of a nice jab. Rimmer doesn't succeed with the takedown and Toshimichi counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Daisuke Toshimichi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Rimmer. Toshimichi lands a two punch combo.
