#R1# Doolittle scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lepmets shoots and misses and Doolittle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#CUT#It looks like Villem Lepmets has been cut. Lepmets tries for a takedown but Doolittle circles away easily and Doolittle makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Lepmets takes one to the chin there. Lepmets with a lazy takedown attempt and Doolittle counters with a nice body shot. Dexter Doolittle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Villem Lepmets. Lepmets looks winded! Lepmets gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Doolittle counters with a right hand to the body. Doolittle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lepmets looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Doolittle lands with a good body shot. Villem Lepmets seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Doolittle looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
#KD# Doolittle sends Lepmets crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Doolittle is motioning to the referee to let Lepmets up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Lepmets has his takedown stuffed and Doolittle rattles Lepmets with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Lepmets tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Doolittle dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Lepmets stiff and motionless on the mat!

#R1##TD# Adolphus closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Adolphus takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.#SUB2# Lepmets looking for submissions off his back. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Adolphus lands a nice short elbow. Well, if Adolphus is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Adolphus's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lepmets makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lepmets. Adolphus sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1##SUB2# Lepmets working for a triangle but Adolphus defends it easily.
#SUB2# Lepmets is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Adolphus is aware though and is defending well. Adolphus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lepmets on the ground. Adolphus's corner is telling him to maintain position. Adolphus landing with the ground and pound. Adolphus controlling from the top position. Adolphus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lepmets is keeping the position for now. Adolphus looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.#T2##SUB2# Lepmets is looking to cinch up a triangle. Adolphus throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Lepmets's body to avoid the submission. Lepmets has instead reached around Adolphus's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Lepmets arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Villem Lepmets! Villem Lepmets decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. |
