Sousa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by De Lima.

De Lima closes the distance and clinches up with Sousa, looking for a takedown. De Lima pushes Sousa against the cage but Sousa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sousa lands with a nice combination. De Lima backs away looking to recover.

An inside leg kick lands from Newton.
Sousa throws a nice looking combination but Newton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Newton leaves Sousa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Newton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Newton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sousa's waist but Sousa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Newton off to one side.
Sousa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Newton is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Newton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sousa defends well and Newton ends up having to push Sousa into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
