Childers has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Myler avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Myler. Childers has been working on his balance at Cozad The Island, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Myler. Childers working hard to break the clinch. Jitsu throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Childers counters with a good low kick that Jitsu was not able to check. Childers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jitsu sprawls well. Jitsu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Childers gets slowly back to his feet. Childers fails with the takedown. Despite the aggression on Jitsu's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Childers is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Childers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Funny is looking to regain half guard here but Childers keeps moving and retains side control. Childers definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Funny is trying to get back to his feet. Childers cracks Funny with a big elbow. Funny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Childers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Childers is looking to finish here, going for an Americana.
