TheNineteenth has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from TheNineteenth there as he acknowledges the shot. Sokolov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Sokolov lands a jab to the nose. TheNineteenth throws a shot from downtown. Sokolov moves away and avoids it. TheNineteenth misses with an uppercut. Sokolov drops down looking to force a counter takedown but TheNineteenth defends it well. A big left from TheNineteenth misses. #TD# and Sokolov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sokolov. Sokolov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sokolov working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Volyas's head. Sokolov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Volyas is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sokolov dives into side control.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gualtieri! But no joy. Sokolov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gualtieri sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sokolov somewhat. Gualtieri connects with a right hand. Sokolov shakes it off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gualtieri throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Laurez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sokolov controls the pace. Sokolov throws a big right hand that misses. Sokolov lands a couple of digs. Laurez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Laurez preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Sokolov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. TestTen shoots in but no luck this time. TestTen misses with a looping right. TestTen takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Mafi plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! TestTen shoots for a takedown but Mafi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mafi only half commits to the counter leg kick. Hoppy TestTen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. TestTen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Whack! Mafi lands a heavy head kick that drops TestTen. The ref tackles Mafi to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because TestTen was done.
