#R1# Montana misses with a takedown and Tager counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Montana fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Montana throws a low kick, looking for Tager's leg but Tager calmly moves out of range. Tager was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. No luck for Montana with that takedown attempt. Tager tries to counter with a takedown but Montana is quick to defend against it. John Tager has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Montana. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montana misses with a takedown and Montana takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Montana looks to throw the jab but Tager is out of range. #T1# Tager keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Montana misses the body punch enabling Tager to counter with a crisp jab. Montana has his takedown stuffed#CL# and Tager counters by moving into the clinch. #BC# Tager breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Montana is defended easily by Tager.#T2##CL2# Montana closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Montana is trying to pull guard but Tager turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Montana avoiding damage.
Tager controlling the action here for a moment.
Tager wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Montana has him pressed against the cage. Tager is trying to push Montana away but Montana has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#T3# Tager lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Montana backwards. Montana's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Montana swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Montana tries to pull guard but Tager holds him up against the cage and eventually Montana drops back down to his feet.
Montana misses with the head strike.

#SUB# Montana is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Tager has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Montana is looking to defend but Tager has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Montana! Tager pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Montana taps out and this one is all over!
