#R1# Sonen is looking to slow Zirovanagadov down with leg kicks. A head kick by Sonen misses #TD2# and Zirovanagadov counters with a shoot takedown. Sonen fights it but they end up in guard. Sonen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Zirovanagadov controls the pace. Let's hope that Zirovanagadov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sonen can't keep his opponent in guard - Zirovanagadov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. #T1# Zirovanagadov is controlling the pace.
Zirovanagadov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.#TD2# Zirovanagadov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sonen on his heels. He'll look to pass Sonen 's guard now, I'm sure. Zirovanagadov won't allow Sonen to sweep him here. Zirovanagadov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Zirovanagadov.#T3# The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. It looks like Zirovanagadov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sonen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Zirovanagadov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sonen . Sonen chopping away at his opponent's legs.
#TD2# Zirovanagadov gets a double leg takedown into Sonen 's guard. Zirovanagadov controlling from the top position. #T4# More stalling from Zirovanagadov. Yet more stalling tactics from Zirovanagadov. Zirovanagadov lands a couple of elbows. Zirovanagadov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Aliev Zirovanagadov dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!#R2# A chopping leg kick lands by Sonen . Sonen throws a nice head kick!
Zirovanagadov fails in his attempt to clinch. Sonen scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Zirovanagadov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick by Sonen misses and Zirovanagadov counters with a nice body shot. Sonen misses with a head kick.
Sonen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sonen thows a leg kick but Zirovanagadov checks it and Zirovanagadov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.#ROC2#Sonen is rocked! Sonen throws a lazy head kick #TD2# and Zirovanagadov counters with a slam - OH, Sonen IS OUT! HE'S OUT COLD! This one is all over!
