#R1##CL2# Wrestler has Fury up against the cage in a clinch.
#TD2# Wrestler is trying to trip Fury. He has hold of a leg but Fury is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Wrestler persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Wrestler is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Fury is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.#SUB# Fury working for a triangle but Wrestler defends it easily.
Fury is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fury passes to full mount! #T1# Fury fails to take his opponent's back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wrestler wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Fury keeps control of the position easily here as Wrestler tries to buck him off.
#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wrestler is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Wrestler is still trying to improve position. Wrestler is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Fury off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Fury is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
#T3##SUB# Fury is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Wrestler has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Fury has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Wrestler taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Fury doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tommy Fury! |
